AFI2B Business Center became the first WELL Pre-certified facility in Russia

AFI 2B is the only class A+ business center in the historical center of Moscow with a total area of 50,200 m2. It is the flagship project of AFI Development, an international development company that has built office buildings, five-star hotels, and ultra-modern business centers in Europe, the US, and Israel.

The property is located in the Central business district of the capital: 80 meters from Belorusskaya metro station, with the exit to the main city transport artery - Leningradskoe highway.

The general contractor of the project is Ant Yapı Sanayı ve Ticaret Limited Shirketi, a well-known Turkish company.
WELL pre-certification gives the projects an opportunity to declare the progress towards the WELL certificate and provide assurance that the design solutions at this stage meet the requirements of the standard.

Obtaining pre-certified status does not imply a specific rating, but WELL Gold status is the target for the BC at 2nd Brestskaya.

To be WELL compliant, the design included solutions such as:

·The use of natural materials and natural textures in the finishes (granite, wood, Jurassic limestone), which allows users to feel a connection with nature;

- Abundance of natural light and innovative glazing (stained-glass windows made of Schuco aluminum profile with energy-efficient insulating glass units. In the manufacture of glass units as the outer glass used Stopsol Phoenix Crystalvision - sunscreening glass with magnetron coating class "A". To improve thermal insulation properties, the interglazing space of the insulating glass units is filled with inert gas - argon;

- Air quality monitors are installed on each floor;

- Art objects - kinetic wall, responsive for interaction with the users of the building;

- Integration of active design principles - encouraging use of stairs, active workspaces.
