New BREEAM "Good" for the new Business Centre in Baku, Azerbaijan!
After a long break, we are pleased to share the news of the new BREEAM certification.The 2020 Business Centre building in White City district of Baku has achieved BREEAM New Construction certificate with a rating «Good»!
ESG Factor SRL was appointed on the role of the BREEAM Consultant in the person of BREEAM AP Ksenia Agapowa.
This is the second project certified by our team in the Baku White City area. Previously, Baku White City Business Centre received BREEAM New Construction certification with a rating of Good. The assessor was Ksenia Agapova, founder of ESG Factor.
The largest contribution to the rating was made by the Land Use and Ecology category – the building is located in the White City area – the project to restore and develop the eastern part of the city (Black City), where oil industry companies used to be located.
The project also received high marks for the energy modelling carried out during the design phase and for the implementation of responsible construction practices: keeping records of resource consumption during construction, careful storage of materials, protecting the environment from pollution and ensuring comfortable working conditions for employees. The implementation of these measures was regularly checked by the BREEAM AP during inspections.
The project is also now in the process of being assessed under the Carbon Risk Real Estate Monitor (CRREM) system, according to the preliminary results of which the business centre meets the requirements for climate change up to 2030.
