Deniz Park – Class A business centre in Kazakhstan, Almaty has been awarded a BREEAM NC certificate at the design stage with a deservedly high rating of «Very Good»!

Developed with the newest technologies and design standards, Deniz Park will be the leading cutting-edge and sustainable office building in Kazakhstan.
The design team took into account all aspects of a sustainable building:
- Excellent transport accessibility and encouraging the use of environmentally friendly transport modes (electric cars chargers, bicycle lanes) are confirmed by the maximum 9 points in the «Transport» category.
- The highest score was also achieved in the «Health and Wellbeing» category - thermal and visual comfort modelling, air quality and acoustic measurements were carried out by qualified specialists and an inclusive environment was designed.
- There is a strong focus on energy efficiency - the energy modelling carried out showed a 21% improvement in the Building Emission Rate improvement over Notional Building.

- Сonstruction site is located on previously occupied land – on the territory previously occupied by the electric substation. This choice of site is encouraged by BREEAM, as construction on previously unused land involves disturbance to a previously untouched ecosystem and more damage to environment.
- Construction process also complies with BREEAM requirements for further final BREEAM certificate to be awarded: plants near the site are appropriately protected, workers' comfort and safety are ensured, materials are properly stored, separate waste collection is organised – please see the gallery below.
Certification to environmental standards is now developing rapidly in Kazakhstan, with 44 sites already certified and many more in the process.
