The hypermarket has implemented a whole range of solutions aimed at improving energy efficiency:
- all the lamps in the hypermarket are LED, lighting complies with best design practices for energy saving;
- the building has been designed to make maximum use of natural light (e.g. skylights in the cash register area), while avoiding glare at the workstations thanks to a clever layout;
- the ventilation system in the sales area is equipped with CO2 sensors - the air flow varies depending on the number of visitors;
- the hypermarket is equipped with two types of treatment plants - for storm water and for industrial and domestic water by type of flotation;
- occupancy sensors have been installed in rooms without permanent human presence, including guest toilets. They turn off the lights and completely cut off the water if there is no one in the room, which saves energy and protects against leaks;
- effective sanitary equipment installed. Taps in bathrooms, kitchens and showers are equipped with aerators, which reduces water consumption. Drainage cisterns / installations are equipped with a double flush (large and small) and a cistern not exceeding 4 liters, which also reduces water consumption;
- the lighting control in the office area is divided into zones. Every six workstations are equipped with a separate switch; if there is no need to illuminate any of the zones, it can be switched off separately. The sales area is also divided into several spaces. At night, it is possible to switch off lights where there is no work to be done;
- covered bicycle parking lots provided;
- additional public transport routes, including a free bus, are provided, which should reduce the need to use private transport and the overall carbon footprint of the building;
- a system of separate waste collection, sorting and recycling has been implemented;
- installed energy monitoring and control system, separate meters with pulse output or other open protocol with connection to the energy consumption monitoring and control system of the corresponding functional zones;
- all zones of the hypermarket are equipped with flowing coolers to provide employees with drinking water.
