Flexible and "green": Johnson & Johnson's new office

The list of Moscow offices certified according to international green building standards has been enlarged by a new object. It is the headquarters of Johnson & Johnson in the Krylatskie Hills business center, which received LEED certification at the end of January.

The Moscow office of American corporation Johnson & Johnson has successfully passed LEED certification. With a score of 52 points based on the results of the eco-audit, the facility was certified at the Silver level, according to the American Green Building Council's database.

The headquarters occupies 3.7 thousand square meters in Krylatskie Hills business park. A special feature of the project implemented by ABD architects is a high degree of adaptability of the office space.
Another important planning principle was multifunctionality, which allowed substantial space savings, for example by the possibility of converting a large meeting room into a room for yoga classes.

Particular attention was paid to the efficient use of resources - these are the categories in which the facility received the maximum number of points during certification. "The office has separate waste collection, uses energy-efficient lighting and is controlled by occupancy sensors. Economical sanitary fixtures are used in the bathrooms. Environmental properties of materials were taken into account in the design, as well as possibilities for their reuse," lists the project evaluator, deputy director of ESG Factor Ksenia Agapova.
